Proposition A is the DC-backed proposition putting gerrymandering into place in Missouri. It allows DC political consultants to rig Missouri elections and manipulate outcomes so that Missouri voters have no power over who represents us. People Not Politicians, a coalition of Republican, Democrat, and Independent Missourians, encourages Missourians to vote no on Proposition A. Missourians will get to vote no on Proposition A during the general election on November 3.
What does a NO vote mean?

What is gerrymandering?
Gerrymandering is when politicians choose their voters, instead of voters choosing their politicians. It’s how special interests rig elections before a single vote is cast. Politicians are trying to do it in Missouri with Proposition A. That’s why Missourians will reject politicians’ gerrymandered map by voting NO on Proposition A on November 3 in the general election.
Is Missouri gerrymandered?
Politicians passed a law in 2025 to gerrymander Missouri’s districts, specifically targeting Kansas City. By splitting KC into three districts and combining it with communities as far away as the Illinois/Iowa border and Lake of the Ozarks, politicians are seeking to dilute the power of voters to elect representatives of their own choosing. The legal status of this gerrymander is currently under dispute, but Missourians will have an opportunity to reject it in November of 2026 by voting NO on Proposition A.
Is HB1 different than Proposition A and the People Not Politicians campaign?
HB1 is the legislation politicians passed to gerrymander Missourian’s voices out of politics. People Not Politicians collected over 305,000 signatures to have Missourians vote on it. Once certified, HB1 will become Proposition A, and Missourians will have the opportunity to veto the rigged map by voting NO on Proposition A.
